Our newest Testimonial: JR Reyes, aspiring golfer

First of all…Wow, this is an amazing mouthpiece! I had enormous feedback from just my first day of trial. I thought it felt really comfortable in my mouth, considering that I have never used a mouth piece before. And to be honest, I thought this would be another golf gimmick. However, within hours I had instant responses….I was happy to say that it made me feel stronger right off the bat. So I started hitting golf balls with it on, and within seconds, I felt tense free and loose! Like if I had been warming up for 45 minutes. It had a dramatic effect on my swing as well. I was able to swing the golf club freely which in turn helped me produce more efficient clubhead speed: it add increased club head speed by 4-5 mph and made a huge difference in my alignment and posture. I found that the piece made practice easier to focus and provides superb concentration time. But most importantly about this mouthpiece that impressed me the most, was the ability of limiting my stress-levels throughout my body. I felt less fatigued from hitting hours of golf balls and had more energy after my practice session was over. Like I said before, the UA Performance Mouthpiece is amazing, and definitely well worth the try!

Thanks again Dr. Corpuz, for such a great product! TWO THUMBS UP!!!!!!!!

Gerhard Posch- Tennis Professional and Instructor Omaha, Nebraska

As you know, I was very skeptical about the effects of Under Armour Performance Mouthwear before testing it on the tennis court. My experience with UA Performance Mouthwear on the tennis court was intriguing. With the very first ball, I could sense a distinct relaxation in the muscles surrounding the back of my neck and my shoulder blades. Biting down on it, I felt my jaw was steadily kept farther back than without the mouthpiece. This, however, did not feel uncomfortable. Experienced tennis players and tennis coaches know for a fact that loose shoulders can be tremendously beneficial toward a precise, well-timed and consistent execution of practically every shot in the sport. Consequently, I was very pleased to experience a less tiring and more productive work out on the tennis court with the help of UA Performance Mouthwear.

Without UA Performance Mouthwear, I generally suffer high muscle soreness after a tough day of training. My calves tend to be particularly affected, and so, I was positively surprised to observe a significant improvement in muscle soreness the day after first wearing UA mouthwear during tennis practice. The combined effect of improved on-court muscle relaxation and reduced off-court muscle soreness informs my thoroughly positive opinion of Armourbite Technology today.

Matt “The Bolt” Bentley, 2x IKF National Muay Thai Champion, Team Doyl

My name is Matt Bentley and I have been involved in martial arts for seventeen years. Under Mick Doyle I have studied the arts of Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Gan Teora, and Self Defense. I am a two time National Champion in Muay Thai and have fought for some of the biggest Independent Mixed Martial Arts Organizations in the country including WAKO, ISCF, Victory Fighting Championships, and Adrenaline MMA. I have been using my Under Armor Mouthpieces fit by Dr. Corpuz for a little over two months now and though first a skeptic I must admit now to being a believer. My one rep maxes have increased by up to ten pounds in the weight room in just a little over two months! I have been using the bottom piece during my cardio workouts as well and feel a huge difference in my muscle recovery. The top piece is unbelievably comfortable and is almost unnoticeable during my sparring and rolling sessions and again my recovery time is unbelievable since the introduction of the mouth piece. I would certainly recommend both of these pieces to any athlete trying to step it up or move onto the next level!

As I told you earlier today I had my first workout with the Under Armour mouthwear, and had what I consider a great success. First my normal workout. In the offseason I use my first month to balance my body and set a base to avoid injury. I use circuit training where I try and hit all muscle groups by doing a series of 7 exercises with middle level weight to failure for 2 or 3 cycles. The exercises include pullups, deep squats, dips, lunges, full extension abs, dumbbell curls, and push ups. I go through all of these with no rest in between exercises. Today I tried the circuit while wearing the Under Armour mouthwear. The first thing I had to comment on was how comfortable the mouthpiece was. I have played football and boxed and those mouthpieces are the first thing I would get rid of when the opportunity was given. The UA mouthwear was easy to talk with and actually made my breathing feel better while lifting.

So on to the workout and numbers. I went through the first cycle of exercises and did at least my average to a little more than my average even though I had just worked out hard the day before. Usually I will take one day off in between for recovery, but was anxious to try the mouthwear. So while the numbers on the first set didn’t “blow me away” it was the second set that got me. Usually my second set numbers will be 30%-40% lower than my first set, but today I equalled the first set in most exercises and the biggest drop was only 10%. To me that is huge. Also I have a tendency of working my body to full exhaustion where laying on the floor for 20 or 30 minutes afterwards is common. Today I felt I pushed myself just as hard or harder but didn’t have the same nausea feeling I usually get.

I will take a full rest tomorrow and hit it again Sunday and maybe mix in a cardio workout. If this proves not to be a fluke it will have huge implications on our competitions and job. For the competitions one of our major enemies is lactic acid build up at the end of the event. Having the ability to push harder at the end means the difference between winning an losing. As far as our job, if it parallels my workout today it will mean quicker recovery and the ability to get more done on my second air tank.

Thank you again for this opportunity

I wore the “performance mouthpiece” for three golf rounds in a row. I wore the UA only during my regular warm-up session and the round itself, approximately 5 hours per day. My reaction is that there is indeed a very positive benefit in stress reduction, endurance and focus. These are all the real keys to success in playing golf at one’s potential.

The benefit for me was a definite reduction in my stress and fatigue level. When I would get ready to clench, I could feel the UA, and I would just relax. Golf, unlike many other sports, is not about power (although it can help), it is about consistency and tempo. There is no moment of truth when you need to have that extra spurt of strength or energy. The real key is to have the exact same amount of energy for every shot of the day (first to last), I really do believe that UA made that more feasible. I found that at the end of the day I was hitting the same club the same distance with the same effort. Pretty outstanding in my mind. Just for the record, I hit every iron about 1/2 club further, that translates to 3-5% increase (easy to measure since you are only measuring the flight thru the air); but the increase was from less tension in the swing, not from more power or energy exerted. I really can not state that I hit the Driver further (although I think I did), since there is roll of the ball and the pitch of the terrain to factor in. I will leave that to the launch monitor machines and the guru’s.

UA is, in my mind, an interesting phenomenon. I can’t really quantify what really happens, more distance, less stress, more stamina, and God knows what else; but I do know there is a very positive benefit to whatever the Edge prohibits or initiates.

The UA was easy to wear, comfortable, and easy to speak with it in place. Interestingly enough, only the one guy I told knew I had the edge in my mouth. At the end of the round, I showed it to the boys and they were amazed and excited. I can’t say how much the UA was responsible for the round, but clearly it must take credit or blame as it comes. Good news for edge was that the final round was 65 and a winner of the Pro-Member at San Gabriel Country Club in San Gabriel, California. How much was due to UA, my fabulous talent, or shear blind luck, who knows, but if I’d finished last it would have clearly been 100% UA’s fault.

Cale Good (Team RunFaster)

On Nov. 20th While competing at The Worlds Firefighter Combat Challenge in Las Vegas I sustained a Season Ending Injury. Original Prognosis was a Torn Right Quadriceps Tendon. Completely tore in half this required surgery on Nov. 23. Surgery involved drilling two screws into my knee cap and reattaching the Quadriceps Tendon. Rehab is 3 months in a straight leg brace and crutches while the tendon heals. At the end of 3 months light physical therapy is begun. Full Recovery is 12 months. At the end of two months I removed the brace and began therapy on my own with the Under Armour Bite Tech Mouth Piece. I started therapy after 2 months post-op. While wearing the mouthpiece I have seen great improvements in the last 4 weeks. Initially starting with walking and running intervals on the treadmill:
Week 1) Walk(speed 3.0) 1 min; Jog(speed4.5) 1 min for a total of 20 minutes.

I am now:
Week 4) Walk(speed 3.5) 1 min; Jog(6.5) 5 min for a total of 30 minutes. In addition to 20 minutes on Elliptical Machine followed up by 20 minutes on stationary Bike. I do this 3 to 4 times a week. While most people don?ft start therapy until after 3 months I am now doing what most people do in the 6-8 month range. While wearing the Mouthpiece I feel more energized for workouts. Before, doing just walking and running I now follow this up with another 40 minutes of cardio (Elliptical/Bike) feeling great. In Conclusion, I feel that the mouthpiece has dramatically helped and shortened my recovery. I continue to wear the mouth piece with workouts and on rare occasions when I have forgot to wear the mouth piece I feel tired and less energetic. I am also doing light weight work as well. Steadily increasing weights. Leg press, Leg extensions, Leg curls, and Calf raises.
